My group and I had some ideas like what if Jacob had not gotten his visa ? We answered that question and our answer was he could have found out if there were any planes or boats that were going to Africa and hide himself in the cargo area. Once he arrived, He could use the money he saved to get him some transport to get to Kenya.
Before the discussion I did not realize how important this part of the story is. Now after the discussion I have a deeper understanding of not just that passage but the chapters we had to read. The discussion really helps me understand the parts of th book i do not understand and helps me have a deeper understanding of the parts I do understand.
One of the important passages that I wrote on my discussion sheet about Thunder Cave was When Jacob Got his Visa to permit him to get into Kenya. I thought this was important because his whole plan to go to Kenya and find his father could be ruined if he did not get his Visa to enter Kenya. *M group agreed that this was an important part in the book and my explanation was alright but we decided to find out more.
